Boko Police Seized Trucks Carrying Buffaloes at Bahjani village

Boko: A group of Boko Police lead by in-charge Boko PS, Jogendra Barman seized two trucks carrying buffaloes illegally at Bahjani village under Chaygaon assembly constituency on Wednesday night.

Local public alleged that the trucks were caught by Jambari outpost police staff but the truck drivers tried to reach some sort of understanding with the police. Local people questioned the police and even allegedly physically attacked them. Boko PS officer in-charge Jogendra Barman reached the spot and to pacify the local people. But when they tried to vandalize the trucks, police lathicharged at the public to control the situation. After that police brought the trucks to Boko Police Station. Boko PS officer in-charge, Jogendra Barman said that total 22 buffaloes were in the two Tata LP trucks and police have started investigation. Boko Police have also registered two cases for illegally carrying livestock and attack on police personnel.
