Bomb Blast in Assam's Tamulpur; No Casualties Reported

GUWAHATI: A low-intensity blast was reported in Assam's Tamulpur area on Thursday afternoon along the Indo-Bhutan border.

As per reports, no casualties were reported in the blast which occurred near Sukanjuli Firing Range at No 1 Paharpur, however, a house of one named Parameshwar Hazdar was destroyed during the blast.

Notably, the family members including seven children of the house luckily escaped the blast.

The blast was a result of misguidance which occurred during a training session of 31 No Field Regiment of the Indian Army.

Later, the Indian Army reached the site and apologized for the mishap to the villagers and they also assured to re-build the houses which were damaged in the impact.

Meanwhile, Tamulpur police reached the spot and controlled the situation.
