BONGAIGAON: An inhuman activity, where a frontline fighter of COVID-19 has been asked to vacate his rented house, has shaken Bongaigaon. Anupam Deka, ADC of Bongaigaon, lives in the rented house of Rohini Choudhury, a retired administrative officer. Anupam Deka's wife told media persons said that they were verbally asked to vacate the house. "My husband is working day and night in the fight against the pandemic and since the last few days he has not came home also. Yesterday, he came and visited us just for a few minutes. The landlord's wife, Bipasha Choudhury, who is a lecturer in DIET, asked us to vacate the house alleging that we are carriers of coronavirus. I have informed the Bongaigaon Deputy Commissioner and police administration in this regard," she said. Police arrived in the house on Sunday and started investigation in the matter. The local people have condemned such an insensitive act on the part of Rohini Choudhury and his family.
