Book 'Exploring Convensions of Statistical Discourse' released at Gargaon College

SIVASAGAR: In an academic meeting held at Gargaon College Golden Jubilee Hall, a book titled 'Exploring Convensions of Statistical Discourse', published by the Department of Statistics and jointly edited by Dr Ranjana Gogoi, Head of the Department of Statistics and Barnali Dutta, Assistant Professor in Statistics was released by Dr Sabyasachi Mahanta, Principal of the Gargaon College recently. The book is a compilation of more than twenty research papers contributed by eminent academicians, research scholars and students on relevant topics.

Releasing the book, Dr Sabyasachi Mahanta, noted columnist and Principal of Gargaon College appreciated the initiative taken by the department for the publication of the book and for the continuity of the intellectual practice in the college. Dr Mahanta also conveyed his gratitude to the paper contributors for their scholarly contributions that made the volume successful.

Bijoy Mohan, Former Professor of Statistics Department, Joysagar College, who graced the occasion also praised the noble efforts of the department in publishing such a research based book on Statistical Discourse.
