Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Boro Kachari Welfare Autonomous council (BKWAC) Mihiniswar Basumatary has been undergoing treatment in GMCH since June 16. According to his close aide, his health is improving now.

KOKRAJHAR: Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Boro Kachari Welfare Autonomous council (BKWAC) Mihiniswar Basumatary has been undergoing treatment in GMCH since June 16. According to his close aide, his health is improving now.

Sources said Basumatary was taken to Chennai Apollo in 3rd week of May and got gall bladder operation on May 25. He was released and returned Guwahati on 2nd week of June but he was brought back to GMCH and admitted on June 16 for his health issue.

EM of BKWAC Anil Basumatary said the health of CEM of BKWAC was stable now and improving steadily. He said the council had passed tough times for his ill health as this time was crucial for issues of delimitation of constituencies and preparation of constituencies in council and notification of villages etc. He hoped that the CEM will be back to work soon.
