Kokrajhar: A huge public rally of BPF, as part of the election campaign, was taken out in Kokrajhar town on Saturday evening while a grand mass gathering of United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) was held at Bijni in Chirang district.
BPF president Hagrama Mohilary joined the rally at Kokrajhar along with Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary, BTC EMs-Rajib Brahma and Doneswar Goyary.
Talking to reporters, the president of the BPF, Hagrama Mohilary said the BJP-AGP-BPF combine would win at least 12 seats in the election. He said BPF candidate Pramila Rani Brahma would win from Kokrajhar without any doubt. He also said there would be straight fight between UG Brahma of UPPL and Pramila Rani Brahma of BPF.
On the other hand, several thousands of people and supporters of UPPL joined the massive mass gathering at Bijni where ABSU president Promod Boro appealed to the people to vote for change in the region.
Meanwhile, Sabdaram Rabha of Congress and Naba Kumar Sarania, independent candidate, are also campaigning in pocket areas.
