TANGLA: Bodoland People's Front (BPF) president Hagrama Mohilary has promised the voters to introduce schemes of inclusive growth and development if BPF is voted back to power including land pattas to those residing in government lands. Addressing a gathering of more than 10,000 people in a women mass gathering and joining in ceremony at Dimakuchi under Bhergaon BTC (Bodoland Territorial Council) constituency in Udalguri district on Sunday, Mohilary maintained that the BJP have betrayed the Adivasis and Koch Rajbongshis as they were never granted ST status as promised. He pointed out that the Centre and State governments are committed to provide a special package of Rs 1,000 crore for development of BTC but released only Rs 600 crore. He further refuted allegations of corruption and asserted that during the Governor's rule there were several inquiries but no substantial evidence were found. He further claimed that BPF party has continued its alliance with the BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) at Dispur and mudslinging politics have only prevailed as the BJP leaders have made scatting attack on the BPF in election rallies.

Mohillary also addressed two similar rallies at Orangajuli T.E under NonoiSerfang BTC constituency and another at Mazbat under PasnoiSerfang BTC constituency.

Assam Cabinet Minister and BPF legislator RihonDaimari exhorted the gathering to be part of the massive campaign of the party and be stakeholders of peace and development in the Bodo belt. Daimari further asserted and expressed confidence that the BPF will form government in the council for fourth consecutive term.

Paneri MLA KamaliBasumatary addressing a women gathering at Orangajuli T.E under underNonoiSerfang BTC constituency lambasted the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) alleging that the party have been mongering false information among voters to malign the image of the BPF.

She asserted that the Bodo belt has been witness to growth, development and peace under the tenure of BPF and expressed confidence that people will vote the party to bounce it back to power.
