Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) celebrates 14th foundation day

DIBRUGARH: The 14th foundation day of the Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) was celebrated in the Administrative Building, BCPL Petrochemical Complex here on Friday.

Reep Hazarika, Managing Director, BCPL, graced the occasion as chief guest. Prithviraj Dash, Director (Finance), RK Singh, Chief Operating Officer, along with senior officials and employees were present on the occasion. The programme commenced with ceremonial cake cutting followed by a welcome speech by Asit Das, General Manager (HR). An award ceremony was also organized to acknowledge the contribution of employees who completed 10 years of service in BCPL. The Managing Director felicitated a total 41 employees with a citation on the occasion.

This year BCPL took up a few activities to mark the occasion with a cultural procession in the morning from BCPL Township to Administrative Building. The procession was led by a gayan bayan team which added more fervour to the occasion. A wall art at the Administrative gate was also inaugurated by Managing Director of BCPL which depicts the rich art and culture of Assam, including prominent personalities. An eco hut was also inaugurated in the premises of the BCPL complex. The first issue of BCPL house journal entitled Srijan was released. The event concluded with a knowledge sharing session of senior officials with renowned Indian inventors from Lakhimpur district.

In addition to this, a cleanliness drive was organized in the Bogibeel bridge to create awareness on Swachhta Abhiyaan and the first edition of the quiz competition named INQUISIVE Pro 1.0 was organized for the employees on Thursday.

The Managing Director congratulated all the employees and associates on the occasion and appreciated each individual associated directly or indirectly with the company for their efforts and contributions. He also extended warm greetings on the occasion of New Year. The event was also observed ceremonially in BCPL Lakwa, Duliajan unit, Guwahati office along with Noida office.
