Brisk preparations on for 4th biennial convention of Jamuguri Press Club

GOLAGHAT: Brisk preparations are going on to hold the 4th biennial convention of the Jamuguri Press Club at Jayanta Neog Xuwarani Shetra with a two-day-long programme from June 2 to June 3. The secretary of Jamuguri Press Club, Partha Protim Saikia said that for smooth conduct of the programme, an organizing committee had been formed with Mridul Bora as president, Protyush Gogoi as working president, Numal as vice-president and Dibyajyoti Saikia as secretary.

The 4th biennial convention of Jamuguri Press Club will start with flag hoisting by the president of the press club, Prasenjit Saikia followed by Smriti tarpan by Mridul Bora, president of the organizing committee. Later, the plantation programme will be inaugurated by Jamuguri Forest Beat Officer Romen Gogoi and headmaster of Jamuguri Girls’ High School, Jogeswar Neog.

Various competitions among students will be held along with felicitation programme. Jamuguri Press Club will confer the educational award and rural journalism award in the programme. The meritorious students of Jamuguri who have successfully passed the HSLC and HS examination, 2019 will be felicitated in the programme.
