GOLAGHAT: Brisk preparations are going on to hold the 89th annual session of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha (SSS) at Kaziranga Samannay Kshetra in Dinhingia Mahura Pathar under Bokakhat sub division of Golaghat district under the aegis of Bokakhat committee of SSS from February 5 to February 8.
For organising the event smoothly, a reception committee along with other sub-committees have been working in full swing to make the conference successful.
The reception committee said that a large number of devotees representing from various districts will take part in the session. More than 10 lakhs devotees will throng each day from the various district committees of SSS along with the other States. The four-day long conference will witness literary sessions, books and journal release, cultural nights and various discussions on religious and cultural issues. More than 30 lakhs of devotees are expected at the venue in four days. 1718 bigha land covering 215 camps for the devotees are set up. A huge food court has also been set up where 10,000 people can have food at a time. The organizing committee appealed to the people of Assam to extend their cooperation.
