BSF apprehended two Indian Nationals along with 1450 Yaba Tablets from Dhubri

Guwahati: Troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force apprehended 02 Indian nationals along with 1450 numbers of Yaba tablets on 29 September 2019, from the general area of Halakura under Police station- Golakganj, District- Dhubri.

Acting on a tip-off, BSF troops with Police of Police Check Post Halakura, under PS- Golakganj carried out a decoy operation near High Secondary School, Halakuraand apprehended 02 IndianYaba tablets courier along with 1450 numbers Yaba tablets.

The 02 apprehended person has been identified as – Alep Ali (25), son of MdKadus Ali, village- Pokalgai, PO- Pokalagi, PS- Golakganj, District - Dhubri and Surojit Roy (34) son- Ganesh Chandra Roy, village- Koimari, Part-II, PO - Koimari, PS- Golakganj, District- Dhubri.

Both the apprehended personals were handed over to Police Check Post Halakura for further legal action.

Keeping in view the vulnerability of border, heightened activities of the smugglers and anti-national elements on the border, BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes & illegal infiltration and are making all-out efforts to prevent the commission of such crimes.
