TANGLA/KOKRAJHAR: In a bid to build on the existing skill sets of teachers by making them more proficient in use of online platforms for continuing teaching-learning processes, Bodoland Territorial Council Chief Executive Member (CEM) Pramod Boro launched a 3-day Teachers' Training Programme on 'Educational Technology: Online Teaching and Learning' on the occasion of International Women's Day here at Udalguri College, Udalguri on Tuesday. Addressing the session of the training which aims at enhancing the capacities of teachers in the area of educational technology, he said, "The present generation deserve quality education which is not possible without optimizing learning by use of modern-day technology."
He further added that in the year 2022, all teachers in BTR would have the opportunity to attend the unique training which would be facilitated by over 100 identified trainers from IITs, CIT Kokrajhar and regional higher education institutions. The training on Tuesday was started for the first batch of 1,000 lady teachers of Elementary Schools from the four districts of the Bodo belt. Pertinently, the BTC authorities have started a plethora of activities to embark on revolutionizing the education sector by making it one that is able to cater to the needs and aspirations of all students and stakeholders while coping with the changes of the time.
