KOKRAJHAR: Coming down heavily on Bodoland People's Front (BPF) president Hagrama Mohilary for his allegation that the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL)-led BTC government was misusing council funds, the CEM of BTC and president of UPPL, Pramod Boro on Sunday slammed Mohilary and said that his allegation was baseless. Instead, the BTC government would publish the data of embezzlement of fund amounting to more than Rs 2,900 crore during the rule of the BPF-led government in BTC, within December.

Talking to media persons in Kokrajhar, Pramod Boro said that Mohilary made an unnecessary allegation of misuse of funds by the present government but he (Mohilary) misappropriated over Rs 2,900 crore in his 17-year rule, which proves the massive corruption during his tenure.

In a press meet, EM of BTC, Ranjit Basumatary said Mohilary had brought religious division among the Bodos. He said Bodos had been living together peacefully as community and there had been no religious division among the Bodos. But Mohilary was trying to sow the seed of hatred on religion lines.
