BTC chief Pramod Boro inaugurates counseling and coaching centre

KOKRAJHAR: Synchronizing with the celebration of World Youth Skills Day, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC Pramod Boro on Saturday ceremonially inaugurated the counseling–cum-coaching centre for the youths at the 4th floor of Utility building near BTC Secretariat, Bodofa Nwgwr in presence of MLA Lawrence Islary, EM Wilson Hasda and officers of the concerned department.

In his brief speech, Boro thanked the officers of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department (SEED) for bringing out counseling–cum-coaching centre for youths in Kokrajhar to facilitate training to unemployed youths on various subjects. He said the government of BTC decided to start the counseling and coaching centre for youths last year and today it has been inaugurated under the initiative of SEED. The youths, who have completed their studies in various level or dropped studies and looking for job would be given coaching and counseling in their subject of choice, he said adding that the youths would also be given training on their respective field of interest. He also said the counseling and coaching centre would be a centre of excellence for a transformative future of the youths.

Meanwhile, the SEED observed the World Youth Skills Day at ITI, Kokrajhar. On the occasion, SEED Mission logo was launched by CEM of BTC Pramod Boro. He also gave away the prizes to the winners of logo competition and ceremonially distributed the toolkits to trained candidates as part of programme of 100 days 150 targets of BTC government.
