KOKRAJHAR: The BTR principals' council meet was held in Kokrajhar on Monday. Various issues were discussed in the meeting. The principals' council meeting seriously discussed the present problems of Bodoland University including distribution of books and preparation of syllabus and the problems of sanctioned posts. The meeting urged the BTR authority to bring immediate solution to problems that arose in Bodoland University at the earliest for the interest of students of different colleges of BTR under Bodoland University. The council meet said that due to fnancial constraints of the colleges in BTR area, it is not possible to pay the tuition fees and requested the BTR authority to provide financial assistance to non-sanctioned posts working for long in the colleges.

On Monday, the principals of the colleges in BTR decided to request that the BTR authority provide only books related to the current academic year. The outdated books are not necessary and requested to santion of Rs 10 lakhs to each college for purchasing library books and infrastructure .

The principals' council urged the Chief Executive Member of BTC through a joint statement to release Rs. 25 lakhs to each college for solution of problems of BTR colleges. The principal council also asked the university authorities to consider the examination routine keeping eyes on the syllabus for publishing it immediately and requested to provide sufficient books related to with syllabus.
