BTR EM Daobaisa Boro distributes masks, sanitizers among media persons in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: In view of increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases in the region, the BTR Executive Member (EM) of Sports and Youth Welfare and Cultural Affairs, Daobaisa Boro, in association with youth wing of United People's Party Liberal (UPPL), distributed masks and sanitizers among the media persons of Kokrajhar at Kokrajhar Press Club on Sunday.

EM Daobaisa Boro formally gave away the masks and sanitizers to the members of Kokrajhar Press Club. He said that the deadly virus had ruined the country and the positive cases were increasing alarmingly in Assam and BTR as well. "The media persons are working hard as frontline warriors putting their lives at risk while collecting stories and giving updates to the people," he said, adding that many journalists had died of COVID-19.

Boro hoped that the media persons in Kokrajhar would work cautiously and protect themselves from the virus. The general secretary of Kokrajhar Press Club, Hantigiri Narzary thanked the EM and youth wing UPPL of Kokrajhar district for this goodwill gesture.
