Businessman Rajib Agarwala lodges FIR against contractor in Bongaigaon

BONGAIGAON: An FIR has been registered against a contractor for allegedly blackmailing a reputed businessman of Bongaigaon. Reportedly, Rajib Agarwala, proprietor of a shop alleged that he had been blackmailed by a contractor for the last few days. In his word Rajib Agarwala mentioned that the contractor has been conspiring to wipe out his business reputation.

“On July 10, the contractor had purchased 2506 kg Iron rods from my shop through cheque payment. The rod were given to him in his vehicle. But just after 1 hour of delivery of the rods, the contractor came to my shop again and claimed for supplying 72 kg less amount of rods. The contractor had lodged an FIR at North Bongaigaon Police Station in this regard. Police inquired the case on the basis of his FIR and visited the place where rods were stocked by the contractor and measured weight of the supplies. Interestingly, while weighing, police found 13 kg more rods in his stock,” Rajib Agarwala mentioned. “But from that time, the contractor is conspiring against me in several ways. Finally, I was compelled to lodge an FIR against him but yet no action was taken by the police in this regard,” Agarwala mentioned.
