BOKO: Boko MLA Nandita Das attended a meeting at Rajiv Bhavan in Boko on Thursday. In the meeting, more than 200 party workers and members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), Rabha Hasong Joint Movement Committee and other parties joined the Congress party.

MLA Das welcomed them with gamusa and certificates during the programme. The Boko MLA and Assam Pradesh Mahila Congress president alleged that the present BJP government in the State was indulging in religious politics to hide its failure on various fronts like corruption, unemployment and price rise. Das said, "The Citizenship (Amendment) Act will be scrapped as soon the Congress alliance forms government in Assam."

MLA Nandita Das also took part in a meeting, which was organized by Boko Revenue Circle Officer Dipshikha Saikia to distribute land pattas to the indigenous people of Assam at the Boko Revenue Circle office premises. MLA Das distributed land pattas to 40 beneficiaries.
