Cachar DC Keerthi Jalli reviews construction of ICU at SMC&H

SILCHAR: Deputy Commissioner of Cachar Keerthi Jalli visited the Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMC&H) to oversee the progress of construction work of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Thursday. Officer on Special Duty, PWD, Jyotish Sarma accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during her visit to the hospital. The Deputy Commissioner interacted with Principal of SMC&H, Dr. Babul Bezbaruah and Superintendent Dr Avijit Swami and reviewed the construction of ICU meant for COVID patients in the southern block of the main building of the SMC&H.

Jalli also interacted with the contractors working on the gas pipeline and doing the civil work of the ICU. She also asked them to expedite the work and to complete the construction within the stipulated time.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner paid her visit to the central ICU of SMC&H and explored the feasibility of increasing the number of beds in the ICU, stated a press release.
