Guwahati: Within days of Barak Valley coming out of the nine-day lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, Keerthi Jalli tied her nuptial knot in Silchar on Wednesday.

The DC's marriage was a simple ceremony. A Ganesh puja was performed at the DC's bungalow, and the ceremony was attended by close family and friends. It was a low key affair keeping in mind the COVID-19 situation and the protocol to be followed. The DIG, all ADCs, SP, and other officials and staff of her office we the invitees.

However, according to sources, Jalli's parents could not attend the wedding due to the COVID-19 protocol. Her younger sister was the only one from her family to attend the wedding.

Jalli's husband Aditya Sashikant, a businessman by profession reached Silchar a few days before the wedding took place and was quarantined as per the COVID-19 guidelines.
