SILCHAR: Ably and deftly after assuming charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, Keerthi Jalli is leaving no stone unturned to take the battle against COVID 19 to its conclusive end to make the district a virus free-zone. Strict watch is being kept on the entry of people from within and outside the State. After the calamitous situation created by Tablighi Jamaat and Ajmer Shariff pilgrims, the district administration is not leaving anything to chances. The Deputy Commissioner's focus is on health infrastructure, disaster-management and coordinated human efforts and resources.

In order to give further edge to her strategy, Keerthi Jalli reviewed the overall situation with the officials of health department in her conference hall on Tuesday. She took the updates from Dr Sudip Jyoti Das, Joint Director of Health Services, and other staff. Emphasis was laid on strengthening of block level COVID care centres as well as surveillance programmes. It was her compassionate outreach to all sections of health workers to go extra miles and stand by those who need care and attention during this disaster.
