DIBRUGARH: In a dedicated effort to combat and raise awareness against violence inflicted upon women, the 3rd semester PR students of the Centre for Studies in Journalism and Mass Communication at Dibrugarh University organised a comprehensive awareness campaign at the Madarkhat Tea Estate.

This impactful initiative was made possible through the generous sponsorship of ADRA NGO, H.M. Hospital and Resort, and the support of Dr. Riktom Borgohain.

During the awareness campaign, Hazel Bank Sanitary Pad representatives actively participated in engaging with the women of the tea estate and distributing free sanitary pads among women and girls.

An ADRA NGO representative also delivered an impactful speech, addressing the issue of violence against women.

The event hosted enlightening sessions attended by a diverse group of nearly 40 people spanning all age groups. In a powerful and heartfelt exchange, women from the tea estate bravely shared their personal stories of overcoming violence.

The concluding moments of the event, coordinated by CSJMC students, who thoughtfully concluded the proceedings by distributing refreshments to those present at the tea estate during the awareness campaign, fostering a sense of community and harmony.
