Cattle Thief accused of killing Man at Samuguri arrested in Nagaon’s Rupahi

Samuguri: In a major breakthrough, Samuguri Police with the help of Rupahi Police Station arrested a cattle thief who was allegedly involved in a murder incident on December 29, 2018.

Based on the information, the alleged murderer cum cattle thief identified as Abdul Fadir was arrested by the Rupahi Police on Wednesday and handed over his custody to Samuguri Police Station later. Abdul Fadir is a resident of Nagaon’s Laogaon.

It is to be noted that on December last, Abdul Fadir along with his accomplices entered the residence of one Abdul Haai to steal his cattle heads when they were challenged by the owner Abdul Haai.

During this clash, Abdul Haai was allegedly murdered by Abdul Fadir with a sharp weapon and later managed to escape from the spot.

A case was also registered in connection to the incident (Case No. 840/18) under section 380/302 of the Indian Penal Code at Samuguri Police Station.

Police immediately launched an operation and apprehended one of the accomplices of Abdul Fadir identified as Enarul Haque and seized a car from his possession.

Samuguri Police also suspects that there are few more goat thieves involved in this murder incident and the search operation by the police is on.
