Celebrations of Swachata Pakhwada 2020 conclude in Namrup

NAMRUP: BVFCL, Namrup observed Swachata Pakhwada, an initiative under Swacha Bharat Mission of Government of India at its industrial area along with its township following the COVID-19 protocols from September 1 to 15. On the first day, the programme started with Swachata pledges at BVFCL's administrative building in presence of top officials of BVFCL. Likewise, Swachata pledges were administered simultaneously at different locations of the plants & departments. Santitization and cleanliness drives were also undertaken at plant areas, public places and also in BVFCL Township. To mark the occasion, awareness sessions were also held where officials of BVFCL articulated several issues pertaining to cleanliness, single use plastic pollution, importance of maintaining hygiene, environmental degradation etc. and urged the people to start a pledge to keep the environment pollution free and also to provide their helping hands in maintain Swachata in the country. Under this fortnight initiative, BVFCL undertook several programmes like awareness on smoking and spitting in public areas, campaign on better hygiene related to COVID-19, webinar on Swachata, initiative for installation of dustbins, promotion of bio/organic fertilizer and plantation program etc. The very programme concluded on September 15.
