Central observers B. Malla Reddy and Dr. Saroj Kumar holds meeting with officers

Tezpur: Police Observer B. Malla Reddy and General Observer Dr. Saroj Kumar held a meeting with all police sector and civil sector officers at a meeting held at the District Library auditorium on Monday.

The observers explained about the nature of duties allotted to them and asked them to ensure a free and fair election. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Narsing Pawar, Additional Deputy Commissioners KK Sarma and Orpah Baglari along with other senior officials were present in the meeting.

On the other hand, Deputy Commissioner Narsing Pawar also addressed all the micro-observers who have been allotted duty for the elections at a training session held at Tezpur College. The micro observers were apprised about the nature of duties they have to carry out on polling day such as ensuring preparations before the start of poll, carrying out mock poll on polling day, replacement of EVMs/VVPATs in case of malfunction, among others.
