BONGAIGAON: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is one of the oldest and largest para-military forces specially designated to face the challenges of internal security/counter –insurgency. The 156 Battalion camp is located in Kukurmari, Chirang, Assam for counter–insurgency and law and order duties.
On Thursday, the 156 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized the closing ceremony for the two-week pre-training of Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Detailed Medical Examination and Certificate Verification for Constable (GD) CAPFs through SSC.
During the closing ceremony, one track suit and one pair of sports shoes were distributed by the chief guest, Md. Wadiul Islam, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Om Prakash Tokas, Commandant 156Bn CRPF, to 30 applicants who have already appeared for the written examination for constable (GD) CAPFs. The Commandant said, "We have organized this programme particularly for the students of rural areas who are mostly unaware about the latest trends in the field of professional careers and how to successfully complete SSC recruitment of constable."
