BISWANATH CHARIALI: The central session of All Assam Koch Rajbongshi Students’ Union held from January 19 to 21 at the auditorium of Kamala Kanta Natya Samaj, Biswanath Chariali concluded successfully on Sunday. The open meeting was presided over by Dr Pranab Jyoti Das Rajbanshi, Chief Advisor of the student body. Social worker and senior journalists Niranjan Hazarika, Ratan Bhuyan, Bidyut Sharma and others were present as the chief guests in the meeting. Bidyut Sharma also released the souvenir titled ‘Gohain Kamal Ali’ edited by Deepak Borah and Homen Barman published in line with the session.

As part of the second day’s programme, Swahid Tarpan was performed followed by unveiling of the statue of Vishwa Mahavir Chilaraya by social worker Pradeep Khaund. Prior to this, the flag was hoisted by the president of the Celebration Committee Anjan Borah while the flag of the central committee of the All Assam Koch Rajbongshi Students’ Union was hoisted by Union President Dibyajyoti Kumar Deka. Hundreds of central representatives from different districts across the state attended the delegation meeting held at Chilarai Bhawan, here in the afternoon. An interaction was held on day one among the old and new office bearers of the Union.

A new central executive body of All Assam Koch Rajbongshi Students’ Union was formed during the session with Nitul Rajbanshi as president, Bikram Hazarika as working president and Deepak Borah as general secretary.
