Ceremonial distribution of hybrid seeds held at Kanyaka Bahumukhi Krishi Pam

JAMUGURIHAT: The ceremonial distribution of hybrid seed-cum-awareness programme for farmers convened by the Department of Agriculture, Sonitpur was held at Kanyaka Bahumukhi Krishi Pam on Friday.

A total of 100 farmers from various parts of the greater Jamugurihat area participated in the programme. Hybrid seeds of mustard and maize were distributed among the farmers along with a sapling. Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika graced the occasion as a chief guest and he inspired the peasants for Agri-work as well as Agri-business, besides distributing the packets of seeds. The ceremonial seed distribution session was attended by officials from the department of Agriculture, Sonitpur, panchayat representatives, beside others.
