KOKRAJHAR: The Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar, in collaboration with NIELIT Guwahati, hosted a momentous Certificate Distribution Ceremony to commemorate the successful completion of the Subungthi Sibinai Batch 3: Six-month Free Digital Literacy cum Computer Training Programme. The event, held at 10:30 am at CITK on Friday, was graced by esteemed dignitaries and witnessed the recognition of 134 deserving students (from 21 adopted villages of CITK) who excelled in the programme.
The chief guest for the ceremony was Wilson Hasda, EM BTC, who delivered an impactful opening address. He shared invaluable insights into the significance of digital literacy and its potential to transform the lives of individuals and communities. Hasda expressed his gratitude to the CITK Team, led by Dr. Pranav K Singh and other faculty coordinators, for their commendable efforts in initiating this outreach programme that offers free computer training to students of the rural villages of BTR.
Director of CITK, Prof. Hemanta Kumar Kalita, also addressed the gathering, extending his congratulations to all the students who completed the programme. He encouraged them to continue their learning journey and explore advanced technologies that have the power to bring about life-changing opportunities. Dr. Sahlad Borgyari, Convenor UBA Cell CITK, took the stage and provided insights into the journey of Subungthi Sibinai. He acknowledged the significant roles played by the faculty and students in ensuring the program’s success.
The certificate distribution ceremony not only honoured the achievements of the students but also served as a testament to the commitment of Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar and NIELIT Guwahati towards empowering rural communities through digital literacy.
