Dibrugarh: The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Transport, Parliamentary Affairs, Act East Policy, Skills Entrepreneurship and Employment, Chandra Mohan Patowary visited BCPL Lepetkata on Friday for a coordination meeting with all the PSUs of the north-eastern region at the administrative building, BCPL, Lepetkata.
Commissioner and Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Dr KK Dwivedi, Commissioner and Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, SS Meenakshi Sundaram, Managing Director of AIDC, Virendra Mittal, Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh, Pallav Gopal Jha, Superintendent of Police of Dibrugarh, Subashini Sankaran and Chief Executive Officers of various PSUs of the region along with senior officials were also present on the occasion.
The meeting was arranged to promote business relations amongst the various PSUs based in the Northeast and issues like uplift of downstream industries and employment generation opportunities were discussed. Chandra Mohan Patowary expressed contentment over ongoing industrial activities in the Northeast and upcoming projects in the region. The minister also interacted with representatives of the PSUs on issues and challenges faced by them while operating in the region. He further assured of extending full support to all the PSUs in their business operations.
