Haflong: State Transport, Commerce and Industry Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary inaugurated the Multipurpose Skilled Development Centre at Rani Gaidinliu Memorial Junior College Campus, Boro Haflong on Thursday. Chief guest Chandra Mohan Patowary was accompanied by CEM of NCHAC, Debolal Gorlosa, NCHAC chairperson Ranu Langthasa, MLA BB Hagjer, Deputy Commissioner Amitabh Rajkhowa and other dignitaries,

The Multipurpose Skilled Development Centre run by Heraka Seva Trust was constructed under the Rural Development Department, NCHAC from Untied Fund 2017-18.

Minister Patowary in his speech stressed the importance of ‘skilled development’ while assuring that the Government of India led by Narendra Modi and Government of Assam led by Sarbananda Sonowal were concerned about the development of the two hill districts along with other plain districts of Assam. He said there was no dearth of money but development should reach the people.
