'Assam Darshan' scheme cheque was distributed at Tumpreng

DONGKAMUKAM: Cheques under the Assam Darshan Scheme, 2019-20 (Ph-2) were ceremonially distributed on Saturday at Tumpreng open shed in West Kabri Anglong.
Cheques of Rs 2.5 lakh each were given to 60 namghars all over West Karbi Anglong. The Assam Darshan Schemenis meant to preserve the heritage and culture of places of historical and religious importance in the State.
Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang was the chief guest of the programme. He said that the scheme was launched to give financial help to preserve and protect religious institutions. Deputy Commissioner of West Karbi Anglong, Utpala Saikia,
MP Horensing Bey, MLAs Rupsing Teron, Bidyasing Engleng, Dhorsing Ronghang and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
