Chhath Puja celebrated in Hojai district

In different areas of the Hojai district, devotees observed fasting on the third day of Chhath Puja.

HOJAI: In different areas of the Hojai district, devotees observed fasting on the third day of Chhath Puja. With great reverence and gaiety, small and big Chhath Ghats were built in different areas of the district as Shibari and Natun Bazar of Hojai, Lankeshwar Ghat of Lanka, Mandoli, Amtola, Milick Basti, Matikhola, Bhalukmari and Hawaipur Biding. Women who were fasting worshipped with reverence while singing various Chhath songs.
