KOKRAJHAR: Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC Pramod Boro on Monday laid the foundation stones of two black top roads under 30-Kokrajhar east constituency which is also the constituency of former BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary. Boro also announced Rs. 95 lakhs for renovation of Debargaon Higher Secondary school in a meeting held at the school premises on the same day. CEM Pramod Boro in presence of MLA Lawrence Islary laid the foundation stone of Kasipara to Thanadarpara road and Simbargaon to Hekaipara road. Both the roads are going to be upgraded to black top with fund from BTC.
Talking to reporters, Boro said the present BTC government had been laying stress on sustainable development of the region. He said the government was emphasising all round development. Boro announced Rs. 95 lakhs for the renovation of Debargaon Higher Secondary School. He said out of 700 Bodo medium schools of the State, 443 schools of BTR were being extended financial support for extension of class rooms and renovation. He also blamed Mohilary for failure to give due importance in education sector.
