GOLAGHAT: The Chief Minister's Institutional Plantation Programme for Golaghat district was ceremoniously launched by Deputy Commissioner Mrigesh Narayan Barua, ACS in the presence of DDC, CEO Zilla Parishad, ADCs, Election Officer, Circle Officer, Assistant Commissioner, DIPRO and other senior district administration officials and heads of various government departments.

Later, a plantation drive was also done at DC office premises. Simultaneously, plantation drives were also carried out in all government offices, and various government educational institutions. Papari Das, ACS the Circle Officer of Golaghat Revenue Circle under the Chief Minister's Institutional Plantation Programme (CMIPP) planted saplings of valuable trees at the Kendriya Vidyalaya of Golaghat to augment the initiative in government institutions.

The officials of the Circle Office of Golaghat Revenue Circle, Principal, Teaching - Non-Teaching staff and Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya took part in the noble ceremony. A brief speech was delivered on CMIPP by the Circle Officer Papari Das, ACS. The Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya coordinated the programme.

The CMIPP drive was also launched in the District Agriculture Office of Golaghat. As part of the programme, a massive plantation drive was initiated in the office premises. The CMIPP drive was inaugurated by the District Agricultural Officer Ranjit Kr. Sarmah, with the planting of a sapling inside the main campus of the office, stated a press release.
