Children takes out rally for a clean and beautiful Golaghat town

Golaghat: On Sunday some children were seen on the streets of Golaghat town taking out a rally and raising slogans. But the children were not protesting against the government, they were demanding a beautiful Golaghat, clean and free from pollution. They also staged a street play to create awareness on cleanliness and pollution. This was part of an initiative taken by a leading NGO of Golaghat, Pioneer Foundation, in association with Numaligarh Refinery Limited. The NRL under its CSR scheme has taken an initiative to give Golaghat town a beautiful look. Pioneer Foundation has decorated the Arengapara area in Golaghat as a part of the scheme of NRL.

On Sunday, a programme was organized at Arengapara Chariali where the rally of the children was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, Dhiren Hazarika. In the programme, chairperson of Golaghat Municipal Board, Juri Das Rajkhowa, president of Pioneer Foundation and journalist Prakash Sarmah along with several other dignitaries were present.
