Citizens forum WhatsApp Group created to voice concerns in society

HAILAKANDI: The Hailakandi district administration in association with the Office of District Information and Public Relations has opened a Citizen Reporter WhatsApp Group where citizens can voice their opinion on issues around them and share their stories and concerns in society.

"This interface will bring the administration closer to the people and to enable the administration to address the issues confronting them," said DIPRO, Sabir Nishat, adding that the administration took the decision following a virtual press meet convened by Deputy Commissioner, Megh Nidhi Dahal, on Wednesday. Citizens can submit information in text, photographs, audio and video formats, Nishat added. The new initiative taken by the administration in providing a platform to the public to voice their concerns has been appreciated by all concerned.
