Civil Sub-Division demanded at Goreswar in Baksa district

GORESWAR: A public meeting was organized by the Goreswar Sub-Division demand committee maintaining the COVID protocol at Goreswar Sunjwborali Swlongsali school in Baksa district on Sunday.

Jagannath Sarma, president of Goreswar sub-division committee presided over the meeting and Sujit Basumaatry, secretary of the demand committee explained the purpose of the public meeting.

A new executive body of the 'Goreswar Sub-Division Demand Committee' was formed with Krishnadas Swargiary as president and Rabi Kumar Deka as general secretary with 21 executive members. Senior citizens Satyanath Thakuriya, Binoy Narzary, Lohit Hujuri and many others spoke in the meeting demanding Goreswar civil Sub-division. Sankar Rajbongshi, Jalaluddin Ahmed, Wahedur Rahman from the students' side were also present in the well attended public meeting.

The meeting also welcomed the proposed Tamulpur district.
