Cleanliness drive at Ranachandi Temple at Maibang

HAFLONG: To clean the surroundings of Ranachandi Temple (Maibang Stone House) at Maibang, all the members of All Dimasa Students' Union (ADSU) organized a cleanliness drive on Thursday.

The Archaeological Department which is responsible for keeping this heritage site neat and clean, has allegedly neglected it. The cleanliness drive was accompanied by Mairing Johori, general secretary, ADSU, and Prinish Daulagupu, secretary of ADSU, along with the members of the ADSU Maibang unit.

They said that the Archeology Department had simply erected its official signboard in the heritage site but failed to maintain it properly. They urged the department to maintain this site of historical importance properly. They further urged everyone visiting the Ranachandi Temple (Maibang Stone House) not to throw plastic or beer bottles here and there in the campus.
