Cluster Awareness Programme For Weavers Organized At Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: The Export Council for Handicrafts (NE), in association with Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, organized a cluster awareness programme for the weavers of Kokrajhar district with the support of Industries and Commerce department on Wednesday at Gaonburha Bhavan in Kokrajhar.

Naba Dutta, Director of DIC, Kokrajhar, Himangshu Deep Das, General Manager, DIC, Assistant Director Gopinath Basumatary and other dignitaries attended the meeting. Guest officials and officers of industries department spoke about the urgent need of skill development, marketing platforms, modern design and cluster awareness. They emphasized development of local weavers, artisans and entrepreneurs on handicraft products. More than 100 weavers from various parts of Kokrajhar district took part in the meeting.
