NALBARI: The Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the first 3D planetarium of Northeast India in Nalbari today, December 6.
Himanta Biswa Sarma is in Nalbari as part of the ongoing development fortnite being organised in Assam. It started on Monday, December 5 in Bongaigaon where he announced several new projects for the region. As a part of the event, he inaugurated a state-of-the-art planetarium in the distinct of Nalbari.
Talking about the project, he mentioned that the Nalbari district will now grow into one of the top districts in the state. He mentioned that multiple development projects are already in process in the region which will not only enable better amenities for the local people but also encourage tourism activities in the region.
The new planetarium will encourage the students of the region to study more and develop the region. The CM also watched the very first show organised there along with selected students of the region. Fellow members of the Assam cabinet, Ajanta Neog, Chandra Mohan Patwary, Ranjit Kumar Das, Keshab Mahanta and Jayanta Malla Baruah were also present during the event.
Minister of Tourism, Public Health Engineering and Skill Development Employment & Entrepreneurship, Jayanta Malla Baruah is also the local MLA from Nalbari. In his welcome address to the event, he talked to the chief minister about encouraging the growth and development of not only his constituency but also the entire state.
The chief minister announced that the Nalbari district hospital will be upgraded to a state-of-the-art cancer hospital for the people of the region. Also, the Nagaon Polytechnic
will now tie up with Tata Group to encourage students of the institution to gain technical expertise suited to Industry 4.0 standards. A new sports complex is on the cards in the district to encourage sports and healthy lifestyles among the youth of the region. Expansion of the Nalbari Hajo Guwahati Road and a new flyover are also in process.
