Guwahati: The Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal said that the Assam government is on its mission to make an Atmanirbhar Assam based on the balanced cooperation between hard labour, technology and skills.

CM Sonowal said that with the help of the people from all sections of the society, the state government has been trying to make the state a hotspot in the South East Asian countries. The state could capture the markets of the Association of South-East Asia Nations (ASEAN) and Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal (BBN Countries) with adequate focus on agriculture and its allied sectors.

The prime reason behind the transformation and growth of Assam and its neighbouring states is because of the importance given by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said CM Sonowal.

While interacting at a webinar of Young Leaders Forum, which was organised by the Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Assam CM Sonowal said that one can learn many lessons from the challenges of life. He further said that the ultimate goal of life is to enrich one's life with the lessons learnt from their experiences. One should always try to become honest in their journey of life.

CM Sonowal, who is inspired by our PM Modi, is giving 12-13 hours of hard labour every day. However, he also stressed on the point that one should also keep their mind, body and soul healthy.

Sonowal also said that he has always been trying to make Assam a pollution-free and illegal immigrant free state. Therefore, after he formed his government in 2016, they pledged to make the state free from insurgency, pollution, corruption and migration.

CM Sonowal-led government in Assam has also drawn a road map to speed up the growth of the state.
