Coal-laden Dumper Seized by Joypur Police in Naharkatia

Naharkatia: Illegal coal trade by coal mafia continues to hit the newspaper headlines from time to time. In a recent case, one coal-laden dumper was seized by Joypur Police in the Tipam Pahar area on Sunday. As per police source, a police team led by Nityananda Sonowal, OC Joypur, based on a tip-off, launched a search operation in Tipam Pahar near Tarajan TE Saraipung area on Saturday night and was able to seize a Coal-laden Dumper bearing registration number AS-06-AC-4156 where around 50 bags of coal were loaded. Police nabbed the driver and helper of the truck. Interrogation is on. According to the OC Joypur, the kingpin was yet to be ascertained and an investigation was on.
