Jamugurihat: Aklanta Prahar, a collection of Assamese poems written by Nihar Ranjan Bhuyan, an emerging writer of Jamugurihat, was released in a function held at Jamugurihat on Sunday.
The book release function organized at the Patalor Chuck residence of the poet, was chaired by senior medical and health officer and known poet Dr. Haren Saikia. Retired professor Dharmeswar Hazarika unveiled the book and addressed the gathering. The function was graced by young writers Priyanku Preetom Hazarika and Nilotpal Baruah as distinguished guest and appointed speaker respectively. Teacher Chandan Bhuyan read out poems while Pankhi Bhuyan and Himadri Bhuyan performed Gosha and a modern Assamese song respectively.
