Dibrugarh: Kagojor Nao (Boat of paper), a collection of 32 short stories, written by one of the prolific short story-writers of Assam, Gairika Baruah Ahmed, was formally released at a function held at the lawn of her residence here at Bokul Tinali on Monday evening

Releasing the book formally, Jyotsna Sonowal, former AGP MLA of Sadiya, a well-known writer and poet of repute, lauded writer Gairika Baruah Ahmed’s capability in exploring human behavior and sentiments through characters of her stories lucidly with humane touch. Sonowal also recited one of her self-composed poems which later she handed over to Ahmed.

Former Assistant Manager of Allahabad Bank and a well-known writer, Abdul Khaleque presented a critical analysis of the stories of the book. The Kagojor Nao book-release function was graced by, amongst others, noted journalist Jadav Gogoi and general secretary of Bartajibhi Sangha, Dibrugarh district, Deepjoy Saikia.
