BILASIPARA: The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Bilasipara Sub-divisional branch has been rendering commendable services to the flood-affected people of Bilasipara subdivision. IRCS distributed dry ration, masks and drinking water among 1,500 affected people, mostly living in rural areas. It also distributed tarpaulin among 500 affected people taking shelter on both the sides of the National Highway, railway line and embankment. IRCS also organized several medical camps at Chapar and Areyajhar. Dr Kanu Lal Das, chairman of the branch, expressed satisfaction at the dedicated service rendered by the volunteers round-the-clock.
