Commissioner of Transport Adil Khan inaugurates Charaideo DTO office 

GUWAHATI: The office of the District Transport Officer, Charaideo was inaugurated by Adil Khan, Commissioner of Transport on Friday. The commissioner in his inaugural speech expressed that opening of this office will help the people to do their various vehicle-related works like registration of vehicles, licensing within the district from now onwards. He called upon the people to keep an eye on the functioning of this office and not to entertain entry of any middlemen in the work between the public and the office. He further appealed to the people to follow traffic rules and regulations so as to reduce the incidence of road accidents.

The commissioner stated that newly created districts like Majuli, Biswanath, Hojai, South Salmara and Charaideo have fully functional DTO offices so that the people of these districts do not have to travel far to avail the services.

The meeting was also attended by the Superintendent of Police, Charaideo, officials from the District and police administration, officials from the transport department and other dignitaries, stated a press release.
