Committed to equal development of people of the State and Lakhimpur HPC: Pradan Baruah

LAKHIMPUR: “The people of the State as well as that of Lakhimpur HPC, along with the nation, have wished to go ahead with the fast pace of development. So, they have brought the NDA alliance to power once again under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We are committed to the equal development of the people of the State,” said Pradan Baruah, the MP of Lakhimpur HPC in Lakhimpur on Thursday.

The newly-elected MP made this statement while addressing the gathering of the programme organized with regard to extending him a warm felicitation at Lakhimpur District Library auditorium under the aegis of Lakhimpur District BJP committee along with Marcha and Mandal Committees.

“We have more work to do in order to live up to people’s expectations. We will be successful when we can ensure their all-round development,” he further added.

In connection he said that the mitigation of flood and erosion problem of entire downstream part of River Subansiri, including Ghunasuti, development of flight and railway connectivity of Lakhimpur HPC, providing of land pattas to the farmers of the rural area and the people of the urban area to ensure agricultural benefits and a residential house under PMAY, and empowerment of wage earners for productive work would be his topmost priorities at present.

Lakhimpur BJP, its brother-sister organizations, Mandal committees, alliance parties including AGP, various organizations and institutions gave the MP a warm felicitation in the event.
