BONGAIGAON: Reacting to the rampantly increasing theft and loot cases in Bongaigaon town, the Bongaigaon Chambers of Commerce submitted a memorandum to the Bongaigaon Superintendent of Police on Monday.

Addressing media persons, Nirmal Kumar Baid and Dhiraj Chakraborty, president and secretary of Bongaigaon Chambers of Commerce, said that theft and loot cases had increased recently in Bongaigaon.

They said, "A day ago, a group of miscreants looted mobile phones and money from several truck drivers at Paglasthan area near Terapanth Bhavan. But police failed to nab these miscreants. Hence, we met the Bongaigaon SP today and appealed to him to take stern action against such miscreants."
