BONGAIGAON: "Alliance of Congress and AIUDF will not harm BJP in the coming election. BJP will secure more seats in the 2021 Assam legislative assembly election," said State Forest Mini-ster Parimal Suklabaidya on Saturday at Bongaigaon while laying the foundation stone of a biodiversity park at Chitkagaon in Bongaigaon.
He said that Congress and AIUDF had an internal alliance in the last election. "But that time also we formed government. This time they are having an open alliance. It will help us in Assam, especially in the Barak Valley and we will get more seats in the 2021 election," he said.
Several noted persons, including State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Phani Bhushan Choudhury, MLAs Ashok Singhi and Ananta Malo, Chief Conservator of Forest department, M Sing, Director of Pollution Control Board, Y Surjyanarayan, and Bongaigaon Deputy Commissioner M S Laxmipriya, were present.
Suklabaidya said that the forest department planned to establish such parks for preserving the environment. "The Assam Government has planned to set up 24 such parks within a year. Five bio-diversity parks will be built in Bongaigaon district. More than 1000 saplings will be planted here," he said. This bio-diversity park of Chitkagaon has been christened as Sahitya Manishi Upaban.
